ABOUT RALLY DAY

Homeowners, professionals and others interested in the impact of Texas legislation on community associations and their residents have an opportunity to learn more about pressing issues, as well as educate lawmakers about the issues at hand. The Community Associations Institute (CAI) Texas Legislative Action Committee (TLAC) is holding its Rally Day at the Capitol in Austin on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

TLAC’S Rally Day will give attendees direct access to leading policymakers through Capitol meetings. Prior to visiting the Capitol, a workshop on communicating effectively with government officials will take place, as well as a presentation on legislative issues, advocacy strategy and TLAC operations.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE – WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, 2025 

• 10:00 am - 10:30 am: Buses arrive, First United Methodist Church
• 10:30 am – 11:15 am: Check-In & Grab-and-Go Snacks, First United Methodist Church
• 11:15 am – 12:00 pm: Opening Remarks/Legislative Review, First United Methodist Church
• 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm: Lunch w/ Guest Speaker, First United Methodist Church
• 1:30 pm: Group Photo at Capitol, Texas Capitol (west steps)
• 1:45 pm - 4:00 pm: Capitol Meetings, Texas Capitol
• 4:00 pm: Buses Depart, First United Methodist Church
• 4:00 – 6:00 pm: TLAC Rally Day Reception, The Austin Club

BUS TRANSPORTATION
Pick-up and drop-off location for Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio markets will be provided at a later date. Transportation is free for CAI members and will leave each city in the morning and return in the evening on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

COCKTAIL RECEPTION
A cocktail reception will be held between 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Location TBD.

ATTIRE
Business attire is recommended. Our goal is to show solidarity as an industry by wearing buttons that will be provided on-site.
